We all need jobs and new opportunities in our careers. As the job market keeps changing, many families experience job loss or change due to many different reasons. We need protections like the “pay inquiry law” which prohibits companies from asking about past income. This information is irrelevant when skilled, qualified, and hardworking constituents seek to earn a living to pay bills and take care of their loved ones. I intend to bring protections like these to the capitol to be voted into law.
As a concerned parent of four, I’m against Campus Carry and will work to repeal it. We all want our kids to enjoy learning in a safe school environment. The last thing a parent should worry about is guns being allowed on campus! This is close to my heart as I have children in every educational level in our district.
Our community colleges need increased funding because our families deserve affordable options. Community colleges need to be tuition-free because our children should not have to stress about fitting into a 4.5 GPA cookie-cutter mold. Additionally, if a change in your career is what you are after, you should not have to go into debt in order to pursue it.
I want to work on expanding Medicaid so that families in our district who have loved ones with disabilities receive aid and get the help they deserve.
Quality of Life
I am interested in pursuing a better quality of life by offering a tax incentive to companies with Work From Home programs. We are living in a time where technology offers us the capabilities and conveniences to work from home, so family time, or your personal time, should never be robbed because of traffic!
