Karín Sandiford has lived in the northeast Cobb area for over 10 years. She is a parent of four, whose children’s schooling presently range from elementary through community college. She was born in São Paulo, Brazil and chose to become a citizen of this country she loves 25 years ago. Her parents were Christian Missionaries who migrated here when she was 11. They instilled in her the values of hard work, honesty and respect. It has been their belief that our purpose is to help our community grow as one.
These values have been the driving force throughout her 20+ year career as a corporate leader. She held several positions becoming an expert in bridging strategy to results through technology solutions across a multitude of industries. She started out as an engineer in Saturn/General Motors in 1994, and advanced to lead global projects within Automotive, Industrial Manufacturing, Media and Banking Industries. She holds Bachelor Degrees in Business Economics & Humanities Philosophy from the University of Tennessee Chattanooga, and is a graduate of Emory Goizueta Business School with an Executive MBA.
Today, Karín is a business owner and managing partner of LATAM INNOVATION, LLC. As a technology consultant and entrepreneur, her message ignites others into action. She combines the corporate perspective with her unique and diverse background to drive relentlessly towards success.
Karín is involved in various organizations that look to empower community in legislative matters. She served as chairperson of the GALEO Ambassador Committee, is member of the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Women in Technology, and Georgia Diversity Council. She is a voting member of the Cobb Democratic party and is actively involved in various grassroots organizations. She has been and continues to be involved in her church outreach programs, mission trips and served as worship leader for over a decade.
She is driven by a passion to empower others to become focused on solutions, helping our neighbors and fearlessly tackle what seems impossible. Her personal mantra, “Failure is not an option; Let’s figure it out together!” is contagious.
